Your role with us:

Reporting to the Director, Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Manager’s primary responsibility is to build and maintain business in target markets through discovery and alignment of Volant’s capabilities with customer and industry needs. You will drive opportunities into the sales pipeline through the growth and retention of new and existing accounts, presenting new solutions and services to customers.

You have a network of key decision-making contacts within the Oil & Gas Industry including Operators, Drilling Contractors, and Service and Supply companies. You understand the industry, the technology and know how to anticipate and meet the needs of clients before they have identified a problem. You are self-motivated and driven to success working with minimal supervision.

You will bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of senior level sales and /or proven business development experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong business and technical acumen combined with awareness and appreciation of business ethics.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally without restriction is required.
  • Effective influencing capabilities and proven track record of converting prospects to customers.
  • Exceptional listening, teambuilding, negotiation presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills and an aptitude for creative problem solving.

    Your role with us:

    Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Labourer will operate a variety of machines including computerized numeric control, Hydroformer, pipe cutting and beveling, hydraulic press, and band saw machines, to support production requirements. This is a labour-intensive role that requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to measure and verify parts to specifications.

    This position is Monday – Thursday from 4:30 pm – 3:00 am.

     

     

    You will bring to the role:

    • Previous experience in a machine shop
    • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings is an asset.
    • Experience operating forklifts and cranes is an asset.
    • Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
    • High School Diploma or GED.

        Reporting to the Manger, Planning, the Planner is responsible for accepting all customer orders and ensuring all components are available for assembly. This includes determining required components, ensuring that product delivery timelines are met as well as monitoring the job as they are processed. The successful candidate possesses strong knowledge with major ERP Systems.

        You will bring to the role:

        • 3-5 years experience working within an ERP system (i.e.: Syteline, JD Edwards or SAP) in a manufacturing environment.
        • Certificate in Planning and Inventory Management is an asset.
        • Extensive computer skills, including Microsoft office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Forms.
        • Strong planning and scheduling knowledge, combined with analytical and decision-making ability.
