Maurice has served as Vice President of Technology since Volant’s inception in 2001. He is deeply engaged with all aspects of Volant’s R&D and product development endeavors, injecting both creative input and guidance. He is lead inventor for the company’s various product lines and uses his experience to support new product development and enhance current lines.
Maurice established and managed an investigative engineering group in drilling and production technology and was intimately involved in the design of a world-class laboratory facility in his 13 years prior to founding Noetic Engineering and Volant Products. The first six years of his engineering career was in oilfield wireline operations, data acquisition and log interpretation with Schlumberger’s Canadian and Middle East divisions.
Brad is responsible for leading the sales and marketing strategies at Volant. He provides essential planning initiatives with a keen focus on business development and providing effective solutions to customer challenges.
Brad brings with him a deep technical background that includes a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Alberta and experience in Technology Commercialization through the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin.
Bill provides corporate and strategic oversight of the business and has since its inception in 2001. Bill previously served as CEO and President until he stepped down mid-2013 making himself available to mentor Volant’s management team when needed.
Bill spent the first 17 years of his career as a geotechnical consultant working primarily on hydrocarbon and mineral resource development projects. Bill served as Vice President of C-FER Technologies for 11 years before eventually joining a small group of colleagues to found Noetic Engineering in 1998 and subsequently, Volant Products in 2001.
Dan is tasked with growing and leading Volant’s consulting engineering subsidiary, Noetic Engineering 2008 Inc., in its mission to reach beyond established engineering practices to advance well construction, integrity, and production, while enhancing Volant’s capacity for product development and customer support in these areas.
Dan has 20 years of experience consulting in drilling and completions and more than 15 years providing analytic and design support to many of Volant’s product development initiatives. His technical skill set is based on application of numerical modelling and physical testing to non-linear engineering problems in support of practical design solutions.
Leanne is responsible for overseeing and leading the Accounting, Human Resources, Legal and Information Technology teams within Volant. She ensures operational support is aligned with the company’s strategic planning.
Leanne has been with Volant since 2007 managing the company’s finances through a period of rapid growth. Her strong management skills, unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence continues to support her in leading her teams.
Dan has been with Volant since 2001, taking on the role of President in 2013 and CEO mid-2018. He leads the executive team in defining the company’s mission and objectives, driving execution of the corporate strategy and enhancing customer experience and workplace community.
Dan’s preceding leadership positions as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and General Manager of Tubular Services, along with his broad engineering background have enabled him to effectively lead Volant.
Overseeing Volant Oil Tools (US) Inc. operations, Drew is responsible for driving growth by ensuring tool rentals, training and comprehensive aftermarket products and services are available to better serve Volant’s customer base in the USA and globally.
Drew's significant experience in executing strategic initiatives and ensuring operational performance in the oilfield gives him the leadership skills to elevate Volant’s operational capacity in the US.
