Dan Shute
President and CEO
Dan Shute is a founding member of Volant, having worked in various roles with increasing responsibility spanning product development, field services, sales, and corporate leadership. He was appointed President in 2013, after which he assumed the duties of CEO in 2018. Dan envisions Volant’s future, leads strategic thinking, discovers opportunities, advocates for superior customer experiences and sustains Volant’s unique workplace community and culture.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta. He values team and organizational health as reliable leading indicators of delivering excellence and corporate success.

Brad Kwasnycia was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Volant Products Inc. in July 2025. He brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, with a broad background spanning operations, manufacturing, product management, sales, and marketing.
Brad joined Volant in March 2014 as Director of Sales and Marketing, where he led commercial strategy and customer engagement through a decade of significant market evolution. In February 2024, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations, assuming responsibility for Supply Chain, Product Line Management, QHSE, Canada Field Services, and U.S. Operations. Prior to joining Volant, Brad spent 12 years with NOV (formerly National Oilwell Varco), holding senior positions in sales, manufacturing, and product line management in both Canada and the United States.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. He is dedicated to fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and operational excellence across all aspects of Volant’s business.

Sheraly Cunningham was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Volant in July 2026, after serving as Vice President, Corporate Services. She brings extensive experience in financial and organizational leadership, with a strong track record in building high-performing teams and streamlining operational support company-wide.
Since joining Volant in 2017 as Financial Controller, Sheraly has taken on increasingly senior roles. In her current capacity, she leads all Corporate Services functions—including Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Legal & Risk Management, ERP, and Information Technology—ensuring their alignment with Volant’s strategic objectives and operational excellence.
Sheraly is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta. She is committed to fostering organizational alignment, promoting cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in the systems and processes that support Volant’s success.

Dan Dall’Acqua

Dan Dall’Acqua was appointed Vice President, Engineering Solutions at Volant Products Inc. in July 2025. He brings over 25 years of experience with Volant and is widely recognized by industry peers as an expert and thought leader in casing system design, with a deep understanding of pipe and connection integrity challenges and how to effectively mitigate them.
Dan joined Volant in 1998 and has held progressive leadership roles across the organization. In 2016, he was appointed Senior Manager, Consulting Engineering with Volant’s subsidiary, Noetic Engineering, where he led initiatives that advanced engineering rigor and client-focused problem solving. In his current role, Dan leads Volant’s Engineering Solutions team—encompassing Consulting Engineering, Digital Solutions, and Application Support—to deliver high-value, integrated solutions that enhance well integrity and overall well construction performance.
Throughout his career, Dan has been deeply involved in professional and technical organizations, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Canadian Heavy Oil Association (CHOA), and the American Petroleum Institute (API). His ongoing contributions reflect his commitment to advancing industry knowledge and innovation in well construction technology.

Martin Kaefer was appointed Vice President, Product Engineering at Volant Products Inc. in July 2025. He brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership and hands-on experience in product design, development, and sustaining engineering within the oil and gas industry.
Martin joined Volant to lead the Product Engineering department, which includes teams specializing in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems design and development, as well as Materials Engineering, and Engineering Product Support and Services. His career has spanned small to mid-sized enterprises and multinational OEMs, where he gained exposure to a wide range of engineering methodologies, operational practices, and product development strategies that he has successfully applied at Volant.
Driven by a passion for integrating engineering and operations, Martin is committed to delivering high-quality, reliable products while fostering continuous improvement in performance and design. His leadership emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence across all facets of Volant’s engineering activities.

Jeju Varghese was appointed Vice President, Operations in March 2026. He brings more than 30 years of progressive leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, with a broad background spanning engineering, product management, project management, manufacturing, and operations.
Prior to joining Volant, Jeju spent time working in project development with a Swiss based direct air carbon capture company, a local manufacturer of gearing equipment, and 24 years with NOV (formerly National Oilwell Varco), holding senior positions in operations, project management, product management, quality, and engineering in Canada, Singapore, and the United States.
Jeju holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is dedicated to fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and operational excellence across all aspects of Volant’s business.

Duane Cuku was appointed Vice President, Sales, Business Development & Marketing at Volant Products Inc. in July 2025. He brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry, with a background spanning operations, engineering, major capital projects, sales, and business development.
Duane joined Volant in January 2023 as Director, Business Development – North America, where he played a key role in advancing the company’s customer-focused diversification strategy and expanding its products and services portfolio. Prior to joining Volant, he held senior positions within the oilfield services sector, where he developed a strong reputation for building meaningful client relationships and delivering effective, solutions-based outcomes.
Duane holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business. He is committed to fostering collaboration, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable growth through customer engagement and market innovation.
